JULY 2019

Happy 4th of July
God Bless the USA

The beginning of June was a time of reflection and celebration as we reviewed the past school year and the 7 schools we have now adopted! What I am most excited about was the fact that we will continue to pray in every school and get God back where He belongs! Our children deserve nothing less and He is the only one who supplies what we all need; Hope and a future! I have spent most of June planning how we will get teams together to go into each school with tutoring and mentoring programs. One of the successes this past school year was the afterschool program for young boys at Lawnwood Elementary where we mentored 9 boys. We did it every other Thursday and this year we plan to expand it to every week and add another school! I want to publicly thank Westside Church who has now tutored for 3 successful years at River’s Edge Elementary and this year 160 children were helped with reading! Indian River Presbyterian Church came alongside us and had a huge influence at Lawnwood Elementary where we not only tutored but also established the viability of the mentoring program! I was also invited to speak at the church at 2 services and the ladies quilting gathering which created much interest. One of the highlights of the month was the announcement that Kerri Walukiewicz Principal at River’s Edge was moving to a new school nearer to her home; Lakewood Park Elementary K-5! She is a close friend who let me adopt her school 3 years ago and we now see how that turned out! I will be spending a lot of time this summer and fall helping her get that program off the ground! She will be needing tutoring, mentoring and help with Science and Math thru personal mentoring; please keep this school in your prayers!

We continue to covet your prayers, financial support and helping hands.

Pastor Brock
